My favourite place

Sand in between your toes, running to where the water flows.

Splashing, playing, falling down, that's just the start of having fun.

The beach is where I’d like to be whenever I’d like to see the sea.

On the sand we play all day until the end, we play and  play.

This term our topic is “Art Alive”. We were given the task to find our favourite place and take a photo. For what, you all might ask. Well... At the end of the term we are having an art show in our school, to show off all of our Art, how cool is that!

Henri matisse! Have you heard of him? He is an artist which puts  vibrant colours into his art work, that’s why he is my inspiration.  To paint and draw my favourite place!

Percy Jackson

Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief is a must read book... If you are looking for a story with adventure and excitement then this is a book for you!




This term every reading group is given a novel. Our group Trumps was given Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief. There are 34 or so pages in there to read so that is sure to keep us busy. Oh I forgot to tell you we aren't reading our novels on books, were reading it in a digital format. How cool is that?

Percy Jackson is a twelve year old boy and he’s a troubled kid! His class went on a field trip to an old Greek museum. Did I mention that he has a bad reputation on field trips! Well he does! Once he hit the wrong lever on the catwalk and his class took an unplanned swim,

and before that he had an accident with a war cannon, "I wasn't aiming for the bus" he said.  

Percy Jackson is the main character of course and Grover, his best friend. That is all of the characters that we have heard about so far. We haven’t quite meet the other characters. But I'm sure there just waiting for adventure!

We haven’t read the whole book yet, but so far it is really funny. The reason why I think it’s funny is because in the start he tries to convince you to close the book!

Happy Mothers day

Happy Mothers day to all the Mothers. Hope you had a lovely day. What did
you do for Mothers day? Well here's what I did for my Mum. My Dad and I woke up earlier than usual, and made my Mum breakfast in bed. When she finished we cleaned up the house. We settled  down and watched movies for the rest of the day. My dad made a nice dinner with Meat, Potatoes and  veggies, I didn’t like the vegetables that much but I still ate them. I hoped you enjoyed Mothers day just like I did, even though it’s not my day!

My new Pandora charm

Can you see that charm, well that is my newest addition to my pandora bracelet. My Mum and I made a bet. If the warriors win then she has to buy me a charm and if they lose I have to  let her choose my brothers name.

“Yay the warriors won, you owe me a charm ” I said in a existing voice to my Mum “I know we will go tomorrow ” she said!

My Novel

This term each reading group is given a novel. My group “Trumps” was given “Percy Jackson and the lightning thief” to read I’ve watched the movie but I think the book is going to be better. I’m  looking forward to reading Percy Jackson and the lightning thief and I hope my group is excited as well!

Art Alive

This term is all about art, but the question is ....What is art? Art is many things, pictures, paintings, statues there all to do with art. The first week back at school we learnt about a few artists.

Every artist has a different style. Picasso  looked at things from a different perspective and Claude Monet paints with small strokes to make it look more realistic. Colors can tell you a story. Red can mean you're angry, blue can be you’re sad  and yellow can be you’re happy. Next time you see a piece of artwork look at the colors they used.
