The improved version of "is the world really going to end"

Is the world going to end this year? That is a hard question to answer, isn’t it. Well I guess it’s basicly yes or no, but do you have the proof to prove it? For my writing I will search the internet to find out “is the World going to end?”

Who should I believe? Is it or is it not.  There is one site in particular that says the world is going to end.  It hooked me in like this “Apparently, the world is going to end on December 21st, 2012. Yes, you read correctly” and so on, it goes on to saying you should prepare and do the things that you wanted to do but were too scared.

But before you leave, listen to what else I found on the world not ending. We as the people of Earth don’t know how and when the world is going to end. So the Earth may one day end but surely not now.

Why Australia?

Australia... Why are so much people going to Ossy! If you don’t know how far New Zealand to Australia is... Well we say we're just across the ditch from each other.

The reason why I’m talking about Ozzy is because two of my closes friends Ramona and Ngametua are leaving to go on an adventure (Without me)!  I wish I could go with you!


Luckily I still have this year to hang out with you. Have fun in the sun and may all the luck be in your way. Being an Australian must be fun, that’s why alot of New Zealanders are there. Enjoy your chance and your new beginning.

Rising stars are common these days! One Direction, Cher Lloyd just to name a few! But the one star that I absolutely adore is Carly Rae Jepsen!

She is my favorite artist at the moment! My favorite song that she sings is Curiosity.The reason why I like this song is because of the story that it tells. Our little secret!

Do you like my title “Our little secret?” The whole point of our little secret  is... “YOU DON’T TELL ANYONE!” It’s only our little secret!

When is your birthday? Do you like celebrating your birthday? Does that give you enough clues to guess what our secret is.Well if you didn’t get the clues, my I mean our secret is my birthday is coming up! I know it is not a big deal but I would like to keep it a secret. Some people like celebrating their birthday, but at school I don’t!

Yes, I know some of you might be saying “why don’t you like celebrating your birthday at school.” Well I will answer that question, it’s not really that I hate having my birthday at school I just don’t like everyone saying “HAPPY BIRTHDAY.”

But I love celebrating my birthday at home with family and friends! This year Tui and Rita are invited to spend the day full of activities and fun. My birthday is August the 16th but I’m going to celebrate it on the 18th of August instead.

New Zealand and there medals

There they are... Walking down with the New Zealand flag! Representing our country walking tall with their heads up high. I am so proud to be a New Zealander!

The Olympic that's what I’m talking about! Yes, yes, yes I know I talked about the olympics alot! But I can’t help it this term is all about the London Olympics.

You may know Valerie Adams... But did you know that she may have missed the chance of winning a medal! Well it’s true, imagine that, the World defending champion not even qualifying. Lucky since she was the defending champ she was able to participate. She won a silver medals.


What about our New Zealand Rowing team! They did pretty good they ended up having 3 Golds and 2 Bronze.  They tried hard and they got reward to, with gold and bronze.

Fencing

This term is all about the london olympics! We were given the task to write about one Olympic sport that were not really familiar with, and get to know more about  the sport. I have decided that I would like to know more about... FENCING.

I am going to make a promise to you, and I will keep it. Each week for this term, I will learn about one particular sport from the London Olympics and I will tell you what I learnt. I will start this week.


Fencing was first introduced in the London Olympics, the year of 1896. This sport is divided into three  Foil, Sabre and  Épée. In each division you are allowed to hit in certain places and in some places you hit you will be. Were you can see the orange is where you’re allowed to hit. If it is not orange you CAN NOT HIT THERE! But this is only Épée.This is Foil. Can you see where your aloud to hit?This is Sabre you can only hit the upper part of the body. Including the head and arms.
