Story behind the USA flag

The fifty stars on the flag represent the 50states and the 13 stripes represent the thirteen colonies that rebelled against the British monarchy and became the first states in the Union.
There is one star for each state in the union.
The red, for hardiness and courage, and the blue for perseverance and determination. When you weave them together, you get the American Flag, symbol for equality and freedom
