Netbook reflections

This year I have enjoyed my netbook! Why? There are a lot of good reasons. It is fast and easy to get information, you don’t have to waste your time finding a pencil or paper because, it is like having all of your books in one.

As much as I have loved having a netbook there are some things that I haven’t liked, Some times I have been having problems when I start my netbook when it shows the manaiakalani logo, it freezes. So it takes up some for my time when I have to wait for it to work. Another problem is when the internet is slow and I have to wait.

I have improved in my writing because my netbook has a lot of options for me to practice. How? When I spell a word and it is wrong it under lines that word and gives me some options, that helps me save time finding a dictionary finding the letter and searching for the word.

I think I am cyber smart although early in the year I was sneaky and played games. I still play games on my netbook but in the right place and in the right time. It is better to be safe then sorry and go on the right sight.

If the netbook system failed and we were to go back to old school, pencil and paper it will be boring . But if it does work and we have many more chances with our netbook that would be great.

Our wonderful solar system!

I've been wondering about our wonderful solar system! I’ve been wondering, I’ve notice if you look at your backyard and your house, don't you think it is kind of like space? I’ll explain. Imagine your house is the sun and there are 8 kids and one baby running around the house. Why I said 8 kids is because of course, there are 8 planets. Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn , Uranus, Neptune and last but not least the baby...Pluto. Why is this planet a baby? Some scientists do not believe that it is big enough to be a planet, so they refer to it as a dwarf or a baby.

Camp Benson

Arriving at Kawau was so exciting. I couldn't believe that we were there! Talking to my friends saying how excited we were to be there. I was so exciting .
Burma Trial is hard but fun. But if your not careful you will get injured like me. You will have a partner that will lead you through the course. There will be a rope that will guide you. One partner is blind folded and the other instructs you through the trial. My partner was Huelo-ata I lead her through the course first. Then it was my turn to get blind folded, I was nervous because it was hard leading Huelo-ata through so I imagined how hard leading me through! Then bump I hit my head in to a tree, tears started to rush out of my eyes I stooped and took the blind fold off and then I put it back on and carried on. We did finish the trial with out getting hurt but I did end up with a bump on my nose.
Are you confident to do the confidant's course? At Camp Bentzon there is a confident course or for short con course. There you will do challenging activates and learn 3 points of contact. When you reach the top you have to put your arms and legs around the pole or what ever that is at the top,that is called hug your mama. I liked the con course because it is all ways nice to give it a go.
Kayaking is so hard but fun! One windy day we went Kayaking. The waves were rough and it was tough. We didn’t get to go to any Island like some other teams because the waves were to rough to kayak but we did get to play this game. I don’t know what the game was called but how we played this game was two people are in there kayak and they have to craw to the other persons kayak and Kingston fall off.

Bleu et violet

Here is a planet I created in GIMP I call it "Bleu et violet" means blue and purple. With a supernovae passing by.

First day of term

To infinite and be Yaounde! Not really, this term we are learning about Outta this world.

On the first day of term we have emergence Assembly and that is were the teachers put on a little show of what we are going to be learning about, in this case we are learning about Outta this world! I will tell you my favourite part of emergence Assembly.

At assembly team 2 did some dancing, they were dancing to a song saying all the planets names. All the teachers in team 2 were in these boxes on there heads used in our production called webzidal. They showed off there moves and groves and were dancing till the song was over. Miss She was the funnest dancer to me, her moves were very amusing!

After team 3 and 4, was team 5’s time to shine. Team 5 had a movie prepare to show the school! Have you ever watched a episode of Star wars? There movie interacted with Star wars.The team 5 teachers were in a it episode, how, you might you think well there faces were on top of the characters face so it looked like they were the really characters.

Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune all the planets in space. Do you have a way to remember all of the planets? Well I have away to remember the order of the planet, My Very Exiting Mum Jumped Slowly Under Nothing.Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune.

Was it possible ? Wow looking back Huelo-ata and I have been friends for 5 years .We are true best friends for over 5 years!
Huelo-ata knows me well , and I know her as well as she knows me .Some times we like the same things ,but some times we don’t ! don’t you think it’s great to have a friend?
There is so many great memories of me and Huelo-ata . But there is one that I will remember for my life ,it was when we went on a trip to M.O.T.A.T we had to do a search for a list of objects and who ever found them all first wins .Me and Huelo-ata didn’t win But it was fun to do that .
Our friend ship is important to me and I know Huelo-ata is the same .She is like a sister to me and I think that is a great feeling to have because I do not have a sister and that feeling I will treasure for ever.Do you have a friend that makes you feel that why ! Well if you do you are very lucky to have them.

My goals next year

Do you have goals ? I do for next year my goals are to attend school every day because this year I missed 21 days of school. Well why I missed 21 days of school because for 5 days I was at my grandfather funeral and the other 16 day I was sick. One other goal is to get better at my writing and reading because I am not the best at writing and reading but I want to improve.Do you have goals?

When is your Birthday ! Recently past has been my cousin Israel birthday. He just become one years old. He had so much presents from family and friends .
When every one came to his house we had a big feed with mach potatoes and meat. It was so funny because the little birthday boy went plate to plate he tryed to take same food but instead he had made a whale of a mess so we saved that opportunity and tack a snap shout to remember his first birthday.
Even though it was Israel's birthday the week before my auntie had a baby his name is Elijah Pare Patia ,where Pare Patia came from is my father name .So we meet Elijah for the first time in my life . My dad and I were happy to see him as he was going to sleep.
So this cames to the end of my writing ,when is the next birthday are you going invited ,maybe you can writ about it!

Making juice!

in a Canadian juice maker. Our class had to get a partner and
cut a apple , the class was messy but the juice was TASTY yum, yum, yum.

Snowplanet

Have you ever been to snow planet well let me tell you , it’s like walking in to a thousand refrigerator it was so cold that you have to wear three times the the warmth. You get special gear like snowboards and ski if you don’t all Reade have it! Snow Planet is a lot of fun .You can either snowboard or ski they both are very amusing we had the privilege to do snowboard it was very hard I fall over alot but it was actual fun ,I thought I would hate it but it was not that bad the people that we were with fall over more then me so I was all right. We had a teacher that showed us how to snowboard we practice going left and going right and how to stop my mum was doing all right but on the other hand my dad wasn’t doing that great of a job but all that maters is that we all had fun. Even though we had slipped and fall over we didn’t get badly injured . Have you ever made a snow man well if you have how because I tryed and I tryed and I still could not get the snow man to stand up then we got in the car and started the long trip home !

My exsotic trip to Austrlia

Feeling like I could faint any second because knowing that my Mum and I was going to Australia on that Tuesday! On Tuesday early that morning, we got dress and had breakfast. I had toast and my mum had fruit, The trip to the air-port took a long long time we got to the air-port and went in the plane I settled down and watch some movies and I listen to some music and played some games my mum told me to be quite so she could watch her movie. Then for breakfast on the plane the cold plate had Muffin and and fruit's and toast and the hot plate had the Browne and bread and corn flaks it was yuk so I got the cold plate!

Learning looks like people are focused on there task.They have time to spear and can do it with no interruptions at all!All so it looks like your eyes are glued to the person or thing that you are learning from!

Sounds like ooh!This is going to be hard to explain.Will this is what I have so far,learning sounds quite some times. But all so it can be noisy if its on topic that can be a great! Learning sounds like you enjoying it!
